The weekend of 4rd and 5th August 2007 saw KPAG members again at Kibera for Kibera Talent Stimulation Tournament and clean up organized by Mike Wamaya (KPAG) and Aiah Fasuluku (SAMAH).
They came up with the project as a positive mind stimulation, for the under 14 years ghetto kids, to play and be part of sanitation promotion team working towards a better and healthier Kibera community.
Some of the other aims and objectives of the project were:
-To promote ghetto kids who love sports and never had the opportunity to be part of and players of a team, realize their dreams through sports.
-To bring kids together through football, so that topics like health, sexually transmitted diseases and their future role in the communities as kids can be discussed.
-To stimulate their minds, through sports, to be able to talk about matters of staying healthy, fit and spend money on their families and not on drugs or unsafe sex because of their environmental situation.
-To be the role models to their friends and fellow citizens to keep their communities clean and healthy.
-To be personally satisfied as being a part of helping hand towards community development at low scale level reaching high dreams. Demonstrating the fact that big things can be done with small resources and dedicated minds towards it.
On Saturday, the under 14 years football match took place at the Kibera Laini-Saba ground involving 12 registered teams.
On Sunday was the climax of the whole event. We cleaned up a very blocked ditch in the morning section before we gathering for some entertainments, the semi- final and Final match in the afternoon.
Certificates were offered to all the participating teams. Balls and Trophies were also presented to Galaticos team (Winner), Lazio FC (1st runner up) and Laini-Saba FC (2nd runner-up).

Hope we keep kibera talents positive and alive through sports.
